The Forbidden Notes

Two boys wander into the attic of their grandfather's house. They find some of the strangest things in this place, but none as strange as the black disc. One says to the other, "I think you put this onto here and it makes noises!" With the volume low and their minds locked on the objects before them, they turn on the device. The device makes the promised noise, but no ordinary sound. Within seconds of the sweet tune, the two boys' bodies began to move without control. The feet tapped, fingers snapped, heads bobbed, and arms throbbed un-controllably with the music. Although the two looked like they were having the time of their lives, under the masks they became red. After only a minute and a half, the player was quickly put away and the boys left the attic; silently promising eachother never to mention the moment to anyone else.

In this world, these boys would be in serious trouble if they were caught listening to music.
