As I did this, I thought about everything I taught myself. I taught myself how to play the guitar. Im no expert, but I know my way around a few frets. I taught myself how to draw, both traditionally and digitally. I still prefer traditional though, you cant replace a well sharpened pencil. I taught myself how to do 3D art. It took a while, but look what I did here. Practice may not make perfect, because perfection is impossible, but practice will only make you better. With practice, there is nothing to lose.
This render took around 2 hours to pose. Then it took 15 minutes to render. In postwork, I found I didnt like it, so I re-rendered it with some changed settings. The second render took 18 minutes. Light postwork to the saturation, contrast, and shadows.
Posing the fingers was a challenge, but not too bad. I still find it harder to pose the legs than anything else.
